As well as being my dream place to live (one day maybe), Warkworth is a gift to draw. Nestled in the loop of the River Coquet and framed by the beautiful old St. Lawrence Church and Warkworth Castle, there were so many interesting features to explore. I learned all about the Hermitage, the Burgage plots and Percy the Pelican who took up residence in the 1970s and became a local celebrity. I’ve also included some of the places close by - a fun way to add some context, and some tiny landscapes.

Printed on Innova Matte Polycotton Canvas 380gsm, stretched on a 1.5" timber frame.
