Celebrating my beloved North East in ink and watercolour with originals, prints and commissioned pieces of art.
My name is Sarah Farooqi and I’m an artist/illustrator based in the beautiful village of Felton in Northumberland.
Working from my studio at Gallery 45, I combine my love of the North East landscape with a life-long passion for drawing and watercolour painting.
From an ink drawing, my pictures evolve into busy, layered compositions which reflect my love of detail and colour and hopefully a sense of fun.
Projects include visitor maps for The Alnwick Garden and the National Trust. I also love spending time on personal commissions, from weddings and treasured places to bespoke family maps.
Visitors to my studio are always welcome.
